A Manchester man is headed to prison for accidentally shooting and killing his sleeping friend.

Nicholas Bell, 24, was sentenced Tuesday to one year behind bars.

Bell shot and killed Jeffrey Charbonneau, 24, on Thanksgiving Day in 2010.

Bell told police that he was trying to wake Charbonneau up and that he thought the weapon was an air gun.
