Starksboro man dies after crashing into utility pole

FAYSTON, Vt. -

A Starksboro man was killed in a car crash Tuesday night.

It happened just after 8 p.m. on Route 17 in Fayston.

Police say Jonah Rule's car went off the road, crashed into a telephone pole and overturned, getting tangled in the electrical wires. That shut down power in the area for about 4,000 homes.

The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
