Windham County may get wind farm

WINDHAM, Vt. -

Windham County may soon see its first wind farm.

According to the Brattleboro Reformer, Iberdrola Renewables has filed an application to place two testing towers in Windham and one tower in Grafton, with hopes of building a commerical wind farm.

Windham currently has town regulations that restrict turbine development.

An informational meeting on the project is scheduled for July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Windham elementary school.
