ST. ALBANS, Vt. -
Traffic tie-ups in St. Albans Thursday because of a faulty railroad crossing.
The lights were flashing and the arm was down, but there was no train in sight.
Officials say it took about an hour for a technician to reset the crossing on Nason Street. In the meantime people actually drove around the arm, but police warn no matter the situation that is very dangerous.
A railroad crossing also malfunctioned Thursday in Alburgh.
