ANDOVER, Vt. -

An attack in Andover Thursday night left a man with a brain injury.

Police got a call at about 6:45 p.m. that four men were trespassing on the property of Kenneth Hathaway, 58, and a fight was under way.

Officers responded and ultimately arrested Heath McAllister, 26, of Saxtons River, Kyle Ritchie, 21, of Westminster, and a 17-year-old.

Police say the three suspects and another unidentified man choked Hathaway until he blacked out, and then punched him in the head.

It's unclear if Hathaway knew the men. He was rushed to Dartmouth-Hithcock Medical Center. His condition was not released.

All three men now face assault charges. The fourth suspect remains on the loose.
