A new plan for an old Burlington power plant

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Mayor Miro Weinberger will announce a new direction for waterfront development at a press conference tomorrow. The defunct Moran plant will be the backdrop for the announcement. Representatives from several other community organizations will also be on-hand. At this point few details of the plan have been released. However, under the previous administration, the field for potential new tenants at the power plant had been whittled down to two: a Scottish ice climbing company and the Lake Champlain Sailing center.
