WINOOSKI, Vt. -

Police say the second armed suspect in a Winooski home invasion died from his injuries Monday morning.

Police say Trinelle Cox, 26, of New York City, was shot by the tenant of a River Street apartment during an alleged attempted home invasion three weeks ago. Since the shooting, Cox has been paralyzed.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine his exact cause of death.

Cox's accomplice, Angel Concepcion, 24, pled not guilty to two felony charges. He remains behind bars.

Police say Cox's death could make filing additional criminal charges more difficult, but detectives continue to pursue leads about other persons of interest connected to the case.
