BURLINGTON, Vt. -
It's a drink you may never have heard of-- sap beer. It used to be made at the end of the sugaring season with sap that was too strong to be used to make syrup. Now, there's a new movement to bring the historic beverage back from extinction. The Vermont Folklife Center is partnering with Fiddlehead Brewery to celebrate sap beer with a festival this Saturday.
Matt Cohen is with Fiddlehead Brewery and Andy Kolovos is with the Vermont Folklife Center. They appeared on The :30 to talk about sap beer and the festival. Watch the video for more.
The Frog Run Beer Fest is July 7, 2012, 12-6 p.m. at Fiddlehead Brewery in Shelburne. Click here for more information.
