
Chief Paul DoucetteMONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The police chief in Bennington, Vt., has been honored by the American Legion.
Chief Paul Doucette received the Northeast Region Law Officer of the Year award at the Legion's Vermont convention in Burlington.
Recently, Doucette was named National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. He will be honored and presented with the award at the Legion's national convention in August.
The national award recognizes officers who go above the call of duty and serves to promote public trust and support of law enforcement agencies.
