PLYMOUTH NOTCH, Vt. -
He was born on the Fourth of July right here in Vermont and was one of America's most popular presidents. At Calvin Coolidge's gravesite in Plymouth Notch Wednesday, there was a wreath-laying ceremony to honor the former president.
Coolidge was our nation's 30th president. He was born and raised in Vermont, but went on to serve as governor of Massachusetts before heading to the White House.
Members of the Vermont National Guard were joined by some of Coolidge's relatives and admirers for the ceremony, where they also read parts of a speech Coolidge gave on the 150th anniversary of America's independence.
