CHARLOTTE, Vt. -
Before the storms hit Wednesday, crews in Charlotte were busy battling a house fire.
Fire crews say the lakeside camp on Wing Point was difficult to reach, making fighting the fire tough. And there was a lot of dry wood around the area. They say someone stepped away from something they were cooking, which likely started the fire. Folks were at home at the time getting ready for a picnic. No injuries were reported.
