A six-hour rescue in Orford brought an injured hiker to safety Thursday.
A middle-aged woman fell while hiking on Mount Cube with her family and hurt her back. The group called for help on a cellphone and it took crews about six hours to carry her down.
Authorities say recent storms made the trails slippery.
