NY police ID bank robbery suspect

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -

New York State Police think they have identified a bank robber.

They believe the man captured in surveillance pictures robbing the NBT branch in Plattsburgh July 2 is Oneil Stephenson, 33. Police say Stephenson has ties to the Plattsburgh area.

They believe he walked into the bank on Route 3, claimed to have a gun and demanded cash. Investigators say they were able to link Stephenson to the crime through forensic evidence.

Police say Stephenson should be considered armed and dangerous. If you know where he is you are asked to call N.Y. State Police at 518-563-3761.
