Woman dies after jumping from moving truck

A woman from Ohio-- who jumped from a moving tractor trailer in Vermont-- has died from her injuries.

The incident happened early Friday morning in Benson. At this time we do no know why-- 28-year-old Elizabeth Lyons-- jumped from the cab of the truck. According to police-- she was found shortly after the incident with severe head injuries. Lyons was treated at Fletcher Allen Health Care BEFORE passing away. Police say Lyons was a passenger in the truck driven by 51-year-old Robert Simpson, also of Lynchburg Ohio. Police say the incident does NOT appear to be suspicious, but the investigation is continuing.
