JOHNSON, Vt. -
The call came in around 2pm Sunday. Multiple departments responded. Crews were forced to park at a distance due to the extreme heat and smoke. Strong winds ignited two grass fire and crews are credited with saving nearby structures. Fire officials say the fire appears to be accidental at this time but the fire marshal has been called in to investigate. The owner was in the process of cleaning out the barn. It was being used for storage of antique horse carriages.
