Moose hit by four cars on I-89 south

An accident involving four cars and a moose -- on Interstate 89 Southbound early this morning.

It happened just after 4 a.m. before Exit 17 in Milton.

Police say the moose stepped into the left lane and was hit by the first car. Then the other three cars ran over the animal.

Luckily, no one was injured, but three of the cars were towed from the scene.

The road has now been reopened.
