Vermont Gas decrease

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Vermont Gas today announced plans for a rate reduction of 3-point-6 percent to take effect on July 21st.

This is the 13th rate decrease Vermont Gas has passed on to customers since 2008. It reflects a drop in global natural gas prices as supplies have increased and demand dropped with the economic slowdown.

The result for customers here in Vermont is that they are now paying 40% less than for an equivalent amount of fuel oil and 51% less than propane users.
