Community gets recovery help from Irene

MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS, Vt. -

A community hit by Tropical Storm Irene is getting some recovery help.

The Vermont Community Foundation is helping Middletown Springs recover after Irene.

Mineral Springs Park and Elementary School will both receive $5,000 in grants following flood damage from Tropical Storm Irene.

The Middletown Springs Elementary School used the grant money to stabilize its sewer pipe and repair erosion damage.
