UVM fraternity building to become Champlain dorm

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A shuttered UVM fraternity will house students once again, but from a different college.

The former Sigma Phi Epsilon house on Main Street was shut down by the national organization in December, after the local chapter was linked to a student survey with a question about rape.

The building has been vacant ever since.

But now the Burlington Free Press reports that the fraternity will lease the building to nearby Champlain College to use as a dorm for five years.
