PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Two robberies at Walgreens pharmacies
on separate sides of the lake, but police believe they may be connected.
The pharmacy in South Burlington was
robbed July 2. The one in Plattsburgh was robbed July 10. In both cases, the
robber went to the pharmacy with a note saying he had a knife and wanted all of
their oxycodone. The suspect in each case was a thin, white man in his late 20s
and was wearing a dark baseball cap and hooded sweatshirt.
"The physical
description was around the same, it doesn't mean they are absolutely related,
but we will share our information to make sure what we have this other agency
has and vice versa," Plattsburgh Police Chief Desmond Racicot said.
South Burlington police
did not say how much their suspect made off with, but Plattsburgh police say
the robber there got away with oxycodone worth $30,000 on the street.
Anyone with information is asked to call Plattsburgh City police at 518-563-3411 or South Burlington police at 802-846-4111.
