Courtesy: Dave Lavallee/WestfordWe recently reported on the upswing of people in our region spotting bears in their backyards and neighborhoods.
Police say bear sightings typically increase this time of the year, but some residents say they haven't seen anything like this before.
And if you haven't seen any-- that doesn't mean they aren't there. Dave Lavallee of Westford captured this eerie photo of a bear with his game camera. The bear watched Lavallee and his family and friends around the campfire for about 10 minutes and the humans never even saw the animal. Lavallee only found the startling shots later when he checked his camera. Apparently the bear was looking to share in some s'mores, but there was no food at this campfire.
