The Plattsburgh Public Library needs a new night drop box after police say a New York man crashed his car into the book drop-off.
According to police, Tyler Brassard, 22, of Ellenburgh Center, drove his car into the overnight book depository, destroying it.
Officers say Brassard told them he fled the scene because he was scared.
He's now facing multiple charges, including driving the wrong way on a one-way street, leaving the scene and driving on the sidewalk.
