NORTHUMBERLAND, N.H. (AP) - A prospective buyer is looking at acquiring a former paper mill in New Hampshire that shut down in December 2007.
The Caledonian-Record reports a Florida businessman has set up a company to buy the Wausau mill in Northumberland. David Boshart of Steel Recovery Solutions LLC formed Groveton River Development LLC.
Boshart's company also is working with the North Country Council, which would help put together a business plan for the site.
In June, the NCC put under contract two engineering firms to conduct studies for revitalizing the mill building. One will look into re-establishing a co-generation power plant; the other will put together a plan to revive a wastewater treatment plant.
