KILLINGTON, Vt. -
Mike Stackus from the Country Club of Vermont wins the Vermont Amateur Championship. Stackus shot a 12 under par for the tournament, 9 strokes better than runner-up, Garren Poirier. Stackus entered the final two rounds today, tied for the lead with Casey Komline. While Komline shot a 5 over in round 3, Stackus was sinking birdie after birdie. Through the four rounds of the tournament, Stackus compiled 26 birdies.
