Tests confirm the presence of blue-green algae along the Burlington waterfront, but the city beaches will remain open.
The parks and recreation department this week posted warning signs at city beaches as a precaution. That alert remains in effect and people are urged to avoid any algae blooms present on the surface and to keep their pets away. But there is not enough risk to warrant closing the beaches.
