WATERBURY, Vt. -
Backyard bears are continuing to wreak havoc in our region.
These images were caught Saturday morning by a homeowner in Waterbury. Despite attempts to scare the bear off the property it stuck around for about an hour and a half. The bear was targeting bird feeders which owners say they are reluctantly planning to take down.
"They're up all year round we have hummingbirds and goldfinch, morning doves, and we're very into the birds. It'll be hard to take them down in worry of the bear." said homeowner Luciana DiRuocco.
The family is planning to contact their local Game Warden about the incident. Bear sightings like this one have been a common problem this year throughout the region.
