Hundreds hit the trails this weekend in Central Vermont.
More than 300 riders pedaled into Waterbury for the 5th annual Mountain Bike Festival. There they received instruction, tips, and guided tours.
Event organizers, like Dave Anderson, say they've seen more interest as local trail networks expand. "We've got some new trails that have been built over the years and we're just trying to showcase them to people and that's the main reason for the festival -- draw people to the central Vermont area and show them the good trails that we have," he said.
The three-day festival featured about 20 vendors as well as musical acts. Next year the event will be held at Mt. Ascutney.
