BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The University of Vermont's new president takes over today.
Thomas Sullivan replaces Dan Fogel who suddenly resigned last year after ten years the helm. Sullivan comes from the University of Minnesota where he served as senior vice president and provost. The 63-year-old is a lawyer by trade and is considered an expert on antitrust law and complex litigation and has even written ten books.
Trustees say Sullivan has the academic and leadership experience needed for the job.
