WESTMINSTER, Vt. (AP) - An 18-year-old Vermont man has been charged with leaving the scene of a car accident in which he and a passenger suffered cuts to the head.
Police said the car went off the road and crashed into the side of hill in Westminster on Thursday. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seat belts, and they struck the windshield.
Police said the driver, identified as Emery Wainwright of Bellows Falls, left the scene but later turned himself in after being told to do so by his probation officer.
