RUTLAND, Vt. -
Money will be rolling into Rutland thanks to some classic cars.
The Model T Ford Club International has picked Rutland for its annual summer tour. The group of about 530 people picks one spot each Summer to visit for the week. Over 200 model T's will explore the Southern part of the state on driving tours. Tom Donahue with the Rutland Chamber of Commerce expects it to have a major impact on the economy.
"Our big signature event is Tuesday. We'll be closing the streets of downtown Rutland, parking 210 model T cars in downtown Rutland, having a farmers market, mini blood drive, even a period fashion show," he said.
This will be the group's first swing ever to the Northeast.
