The Norwich University student police say caused the death of a classmate after a drunk driving crash is slated to enter a deal with prosecutors Thursday.
Police say Derek Seber, 23, had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit last fall when he drove his car carrying seven passengers into a tree off Winch Hill Road in Northfield.
Renee Robbins, 18, of Michigan, was sitting on a friend's lap in the front seat and later died. Six others were injured.
Seber initially pled not guilty. But according to the Burlington Free Press, he might now change his plea to guilty or no contest. If convicted, he could face up to 45 years in jail.
