Fallout over a Rutland County GOP Facebook post.
In light of a recent post by committee chairman Rob Towle which was widely viewed as a racist attack on President Obama, the committee's volunteer communications director, Courtney Mattison is stepping down.
According to the Rutland Herald, Mattison said she was angry that some time after the post, the Facebook page was edited to make it appear that she was the sole owner of the page, removing Towle's name and that of another editor.
She says she does not support such divisive rhetoric.
