NY man arrested for deadly hit-and-run

SCHROON LAKE, N.Y. -

A New York man was arrested Tuesday for a deadly crash in Schroon.

Investigators say Joseph Bohunicky, 34, of West Nyack, rear-ended a car on Interstate 87 last November. The crash killed Mary Morrissey, 65, of Mechanicville, who was in the car Bohunicky allegedly hit.

Police say Bohunicky fled the scene, but witnesses and evidence led police to him.

Bohunicky was arraigned on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal crash Wednesday morning. He was held on bail and is due back in court in October.
