NEW YORK -

Dry conditions in Northern New York prompted Gov. Andrew Cuomo to extend a burn ban statewide. It will be in place until October.

Last week, officials warned of wildfire danger in the Adirondacks.

Crews already battled two fires in the high peaks, where burning is already off limits.
