ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - A man wanted in Vermont on drug and probation violation charges has been arrested in New Hampshire and is being held without bail.
Elipidio Roman was arrested by state police in Grafton, N.H., recently. He is now being held at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury.
Police have sought the 31-year-old Roman twice. The last time was he failed to show up at a court hearing in April and an arrest warrant was issued.
The Caledonian-Record reports Essex County State's Attorney Vincent Illuzzi asked the court to not give Roman another chance to flee.
Defense attorney Susan Price said Roman had a pregnant wife and two children at home and asked the court to release him into the custody of a responsible adult. A judge disagreed.
