Man thrown from car in Rockingham crash

ROCKINGHAM, Vt. -

A man was ejected from a car after it crashed in Rockingham Thursday night.

Police say Dennis Sanborn, 45, of Springfield, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from a car after it hit a guardrail on Interstate 91, which ripped off the passenger door.

The accident temporarily shut down both northbound lanes on I-91.

The 16-year-old driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Sanborn's injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
