BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Last week there were four rescue operations for lost hikers in Vermont. This comes as the state is working on a new search and rescue policy, after logistical issues came to light when a 19-year-old hiker died in January.
Neil Van Dyke is from Stowe Mountain Rescue. Capt. Robert Evans with the Vermont State Police in charge of special teams. They appeared on The :30 to talk about hiker safety and the development of a new state search policy. Watch the video for more.
