CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The deadline is approaching for the 2012 New Hampshire Moose Hunt Auction.
The Fish and Game Department says a total of 5 moose hunt permits are available to the highest bidders. Bids must be received by Friday, Aug. 3.
The auction benefits the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, which raises money in support of Fish and Game Department programs.
Last year, the auction drew 24 bids from seven states, with the highest bid coming in at $8,500.
