St. Albans convenience store robbed

ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

Police are searching for an armed robber who struck a St. Albans convenience store.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at South Main Street Grocery.

Police say a lone man walked into the store with a knife and demanded cash. He stole an substantial amount before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police believe he ran through Greenwood Cemetery and got into a car.

Police describe the suspect as being about 6' tall and in his 20s, slender, and dressed in dark clothing with a ski mask.
