BOLTON, Vt. -
Crews rescued a swimmer in trouble Tuesday at the Bolton Potholes-- the popular swimming hole where a young boy was killed last year.
Police say just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Scott Posner of South Burlington jumped in the water and quickly got into trouble. His girlfriend called 911. Rescue crews arrived as torrential rains moved in. Posner was in chest-deep water clinging to a ledge. They gave him a lift jacket and brought him out on a ladder. He was not hurt.
The Vermont State Police are using this rescue to remind everyone that swimming holes are unpredictable and conditions change quickly, especially after large storms like we had Monday night.
