Vt author's new novel an Oprah Book of the Week

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

She first helped him soar to stardom with his book "Midwives." Now, Oprah Winfrey says she likes Vermont author Chris Bohjalian's new novel, too. It's called "The Sandcastle Girls." She named it a must-read Book of the Week.

It's a story about lovers who meet in Syria during the Armenian genocide. Editors of "O" and Oprah.com say it is one of the newest releases they couldn't stop reading.
