Police in Littleton say 29-year-old Todd Colpitts was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of criminal threatening and one count of second-degree assault by strangulation.
The Caledonian-Record reports Colpitts is accused of pushing the woman backward, grabbing her by the hair and slamming her head against the bathroom door.
He also has been accused of squeezing his hands around her neck and threatening to kill her.
Colpitts is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11. It was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.
