WILLISTON, Vt. -
Williston is getting a new police
chief and he isn't coming from far away.
South Burlington Deputy Police Chief
Todd Shepard is leaving that department to take a job as Williston's police
chief. Shepard has been with South Burlington for almost 27 years and has been
the deputy chief there since 2005.
Shepard replaces former Williston
Police Chief Roy Nelson, who stepped down earlier this year due to health
concerns after he was treated for cancer.
Shepard starts his new job as chief on
Aug. 20.
