It's two years in prison for a former
Vermont man convicted of defrauding landlords and tenants.
James Pumpelly, 65, was the manager of
Parkside property management in Montpelier. Federal prosecutors say he used his
position to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars in rent money, including
federal subsidies that Parkside collected for its client landlords.
Pumpelly pleaded guilty to two counts
of fraud. He'll spend two years in jail and three years on supervised release.
He was also ordered to make restitution to about 30 victims.
