New efforts to prevent bullying in Vt

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

New measures to prevent bullying in the state...

Wednesday, Vt. Education Commissioner Armando Vilaseca announced the new Harassment, Hazing, and Bullying Prevention Council. Its goal is to provide resources, strategies and advice to schools addressing these issues. It will also coordinate statewide activities aimed at curbing bullying.

The council will hold its first meeting at the end of the month. They also plan to call for a student representative in the next school year.
