WEST WINDSOR, Vt. -
This weekend is the grand reopening for a covered bridge swept away during Tropical Storm Irene.
The Bowers Bridge near West Windsor was built in 1884 but was swept away by Tropical Storm Irene.
It washed up on a river bank 150 yards downstream with its base intact. Officials say finding that historical part basically unharmed was a turning point.
The town will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m. Saturday.
