Land conservation near Vt.-Canada border

JAY, Vt. -

It's being called a wildlife victory: the conservation of thousands of acres between the Vermont-Quebec border.

The ecological keystone will conserve more than 22,000 acres of forest in the U.S. and Canada.

The Burlington Free Press reports funding for the more than half a million dollar purchase came from the Forest Legacy Program in the US Department of Agriculture.
