COLCHESTER, Vt. -
A Vermont Guard member has been honored in an international competition.
Airman First Class Ziven Drake is an F-16 crew chief with the Vermont Air National Guard.
The 28-year-old from Burlington competed last week in a NATO military skills competition in Denmark.
Participants faced a pentathlon combining marksmanship, obstacle courses, and orienteering course, casualty care, and a conflict law test.
Drake was awarded a Sportsmanship Award from the Danish delegation after teams changed right before competition and they adapted.
