BURLINGTON, Vt. -
There was a celebration of nonprofits in Burlington Thursday night.
The first annual Non-Profit Palooza was held at ECHO. It's part of the Lake Champlain Maritime Festival happening this weekend.
The goal of the Palooza is to bring nearly 50 area nonprofit organizations together with folks who want to learn about their missions, and possibly donate.
"Who are all of these organizations, why are they here, why are they necessary? And beyond that, we all have our pet charities that we like to give to. I think it's important to spread the education around them and grow that list a little bit," said Jennifer Jarecki of the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce.
