Motorcyclists ride to help IROC

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Indoor Recreation of Orleans County or IROC is considered the YMCA of the area. It's a 54,000-square-foot facility in Derby that has a fitness club, indoor pool and inline hockey. But there's more than sports-- there's also internet access and a place for community events.

The facility opened eight years ago and is struggling to raise money to survive. A benefit motorcycle ride called Kingdom Thunder hopes to help.

Here to talk more about this is Donny Henn is the president of United Motorcyclists of Vermont. Phil White is the executive director of IROC. They appeared on The :30 to talk about IROC and the fundraiser. Watch the video for more.

Kingdom Thunder is Aug. 25 at Cedarwood Resort in Jay. Click here for more information.
